WHO YOU ARE:
You enjoy guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules as well as supervising the Security Department.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, scheduling, and evaluation of the Security department including assistance with hiring, training, career development; planning, assigning, and reviewing work performance; addressing complaints and resolving issues from department employees.
- Oversees the investigation of criminal and civil violations and incidents.
- Establishes and maintains Security department policies and procedures.
- Maintains operational policies in accordance with TGA and Bingo Operations.
- Responsible for tracking bars from TGA, barring employees/patrons as needed, also follows state laws and regulations in relation to F&B serving alcohol.
- Reports employee incidents to TGA or HR as needed per policies and procedures, may be requested in volatile employee situations along with customer confrontations as needed.
- Responsible for proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
- Develops and maintains ongoing training programs (CPR, Safety, OSHA, etc).
- Performs First Aid Care, CPR, defense tactics, or other emergency needs when required, must guarantee that all staff receive all necessary training as applicable.
- Oversees the handling, storing, and safekeeping of Bingo assets.
- Implements long-range and comprehensive safety, training, and loss control programs for MIB.
- Interacts with customers, vendors, suppliers, and employees to maintain a safe and friendly environment.
- Serves as a liaison with outside organizations, such as fire and police departments, mutual aid societies, rescue teams and other emergency personnel to assure information exchange and mutual assistance; coordinates emergency responses and is first responder.
- Create or implement security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Creates annual Security departmental budget. Develops quarterly financial plans for improvement and/or growth, prepares and adheres to the annual income and expense budget for the Security department, reviews, and reports on monthly P&L.
- Develop, implement, manage, or evaluate policies and methods to protect personnel against harassment, threats, or violence.
- Develop, recommend, or manage security procedures for operations or processes, such as security call centers, access control, and reporting tools.
- Direct and participate in emergency management and contingency planning.
- Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches.
- Plan security for special and high-risk events.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company employees, guests, or others on company property.
- Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
- Purchase security-related supplies, equipment, or technology.
- Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
- Review financial reports to ensure efficiency and quality of security operations.
- Write or review security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- A.A .or A.S. degree in law enforcement or related field preferred.
- Previous security, military, or civilian police officer training and/or experience preferred.
- Ten (10) years Casino/Bingo security background with at least five (5) years in a department level management required.
- Completes annual training programs including but not limited to CPR, first aid, and defensive tactics.
- Valid WA State Driver’s License required.

We have grown from our humble beginnings as a small bingo tent located where our sister property Muckleshoot Casino now stands, into a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot entertainment space, boasting two floors with over 1,000 bingo seats and over 500 of the hottest Vegas-style slot machines, and annually employ over 200 people from across the greater Auburn area.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing functions of his/her job and in areas monitored by security or surveillance cameras. Work in bingo operations and/or internal or external environments occasionally. Muckleshoot Bingo is a smoking environment. Exposure to secondhand smoke, moderate to high noise levels, bright lights, and fluctuating temperatures/weather conditions are common.
