WHO YOU ARE:

You enjoy performing general accounting tasks including GL recons, bank recons, and reviewing revenue auditor reports. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Maintain an efficient and organized electronic and paper filing system.
  • Compiles data that may require information searches through files, records, or computer files.
  • Performs basic numerical calculations involving the reconciliation of accounts, monitoring of routine expenditures, and/or other applications.
  • Performs coding of financial, accounting and/or payroll information.
  • Prepares documents for audits.
  • Establishes, maintains, modifies, retrieves, and tracks financial, accounting and/or payroll information and reports using a variety of methods.
  • Prepares and analyzes budgets.
  • Conducts month-end and year-end closures.
  • Reviews daily revenue pack journal entries for completeness and accuracy, inputs into general ledger.
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts to supporting documentation.
  • Reconciles bank accounts from the statements to the general ledger.
  • Assists in the development and enhancement of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Documents retention for efficient retrieval and data governance.
  • Maintains asset and depreciation schedules.
  • Assists other accounting personnel as job duties are completed, or in the case of absences.
  • Assists with training staff as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • AA/AS or Technical degree in accounting or related field with a minimum of one (1) year related general ledger experience required (account reconciliations, journal entries and bank reconciliations on a computerized general ledger system).
  • BA/BS or Technical degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Sage 100 or other similar accounting information system is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GASB 96 is preferred.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, and other formulas required. 
  • Two (2) years of general ledger experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

We have grown from our humble beginnings as a small bingo tent located where our sister property Muckleshoot Casino now stands, into a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot entertainment space, boasting two floors with over 1,000 bingo seats and over 500 of the hottest Vegas-style slot machines, and annually employ over 200 people from across the greater Auburn area.
