WHO YOU ARE:

You enjoy maintaining and repairing the facility and equipment. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, scheduling, and evaluation of the Engineer team including assistance with hiring, training, career development; planning, assigning, and reviewing work performance; addressing complaints and resolving issues from department employees.
  • Monitors facility systems and equipment and adjust or repair as necessary.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting engineering actions, noting system or equipment irregularities requiring continued monitoring.
  • Complies with required codes and standards by directing and monitoring the work of vendors and staff, inspecting systems and equipment.
  • Implements changes, expansions, and additions to systems and equipment by identifying problems, keeping abreast of new developments.
  • Manages and performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems operate and run efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Repair and/or replace defective equipment and electronic parts, using hand and power tools; may reassemble equipment.
  • Oversees property maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
  • Manage and perform departmental compliance with property maintenance procedures.
  • Perform daily meter readings and checks.
  • Supervises and performs landscaping duties that include weed eating, mowing, edging, hedge clipping, weed poisoning, and other related duties. 
  • Repairs sprinkler system heads as needed.
  • May perform EVS duties as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Assemble, install, electrical and electronic components, plumbing, machinery, and other equipment under the supervision of certified personnel.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems by reading blueprints, repair manuals, and/or parts catalogs, and completing purchase orders as necessary.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Perform routine and job site cleaning.
  • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using various assortments of hand and power tools.
  • Perform assignments in plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting, repair and maintenance of gaming equipment, telecommunications, audio/video equipment, alarm systems and other associated building maintenance as required.
  • Set up and ensure all audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires/cables & related electronic equipment are in working order.
  • Install, maintain, and repair facility, equipment, and grounds to include gaming equipment.
  • Write or review facilities related documents, such as incident reports, programs, policies, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives.
  • Assists with the annual Facilities departmental budget and recommends the purchase of Facilities related supplies, equipment, and technology. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • AA/AS degree in a Technical or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience as an Assistant Chief Engineer or Facilities Supervisor required.
  • Specialized training in the field of at least one of the following required:  electrical, cabinetry, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment repair, and/or telecommunications repair and installation.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.

We have grown from our humble beginnings as a small bingo tent located where our sister property Muckleshoot Casino now stands, into a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot entertainment space, boasting two floors with over 1,000 bingo seats and over 500 of the hottest Vegas-style slot machines, and annually employ over 200 people from across the greater Auburn area.
